The Kelio Access Control software is a software module which can be used as dedicated access control systems. The main function of these systems is to provide appropriate access to only authorized people. This is done through identification process in this case we use swipe cards, proximity cards or barcode cards. These systems mainly run on electricity or through battery. It can also be configured for controlling the bell rings and also to control the automatic fire alarms. The swipe cards which are used for access control can also be used for linked with time clock systems and attendance systems.

Access control can be used for a single access point or to many access points the Kelio software can handle 16 access control points which controlled by a master terminal. This might be considered to be the basic model access control as latest access control systems uses the latest biometric and fingerprinting technologies. These come as combined access control systems and can used for both access control and as an employee time clock. The main disadvantage of the Kelio software is that the swipe cards are used for identification and these aren’t capable of decreasing buddy punching. And where as the Anchor fingerprint time clocks use fingerprints for identification. So, it is harder to cheat these systems. And the software in these systems is far more advanced and they are capable of doing many complex calculations like preparing payrolls and preparing time tables. The data fed in these systems is retained for months for future purposes.
